Eightfold Noble Path–Hope

Topics Include: 1) Understanding the three characteristics of conventional reality: karma, desire, and the illusion of self. 2) A question on the nature of hope in the face of our deep conditioning. 3) Hope as a positive aspiration for a positive outcome without expectation of outcome or hope as a form of clinging, addiction, and suffering. 4) Looking at hope from a personal level in terms of one’s spiritual development, and looking at hope from a social perspective in terms of the potential for the development of a humane society. 5) The question of hoping for security. Is that a false hope? Learning to find peace and equanimity in the impermanence of experience.
