Topics Include: 1) The fundamental purpose of meditation: working with our afflictive emotions or suffering. 2) Responding to a question about overwhelming emotions. 3) Experiencing the pure of an afflictive emotion as it arises and passes away. 4) Reflecting on the causes and conditions that produced the emotion. 5) Having the maturity, courage, and compassion to confront your emotions. 6) Conscious awareness as a forms of internal psychic release. 7) Opening to the “flow” of energy release: experiencing the joy of freedom. 8) Acknowledging that fundamentally we’re not perfect human beings, but also accepting our fundamental goodness.
