Second Noble Truth–The Cause of Suffering

Topics Include: 1) How suffering is defined in the First Noble Truth. 2) Darwin’s Law of Natural Selection and how it sets the conditions for suffering. 3) Why conditions defined as dukkha, or unsatisfactoriness, don’t necessarily lead to suffering, depending on our understanding of our conditioning. 4) How unsatisfactory conditions can lead to suffering through sankhara, or mental formations based on our conditioning. 5) Coming for freedom based on our understanding of how we are conditioned by dukkha and the survival strategies that we adopt to overcome dukkha. 6) Finding the link between how our conditioning creates craving, the foundation for suffering, anyhow it plays out in our craving for pleasant feelings.
