Topics Include: 1) Seeing our contemporary social condition from the perspective of conventional and absolute reality. How to be in the world of suffering and not be in suffering ourselves. 2) An example of conventional and absolute reality: Sir David Attenborough and his film: A Life on This Planet. 3) The problem of hatred between Buddhists and Muslims. How not to fall into the trap of hatred. 4) How the self we create in response to our situation is an illusion, a product of our thoughts and our conditioning. 5) Understanding that seeing non-self, however, does not abnegate our responsibility to confront evil. How to confront hatred without falling prey to it ourselves. 6) Seeing renunciation as the cleansing of the mind and heart. 7) Learning how to renounce complexity or the tendency to build stories or drama around our experience. Avoiding prapanca or proliferation of mind. 8) Learning how to practice wise restraint.
