Meditation

Broken Ridge Meditation Group

Insight or Vipassana meditation is the practice of cultivating higher levels of self awareness, inner peace and spiritual growth through the cultivation of mindfulness.  Through mindfulness, we learn to be aware of each present moment without clinging or aversion. From this state arises clear seeing, wisdom, and compassion.

Every Saturday

4:00 Begin meditation
4:45 Short Reading
5:00 Dharma Talk and Questions and Answers

You are welcome to stay for the whole program or leave during any of the program transition points. There is no fee for the sitting. Voluntary donations are accepted to cover the costs of the program and as donations to the temple.

Cushions are provided in the hall. Benches and seats are available around the rear of the hall for those who find it difficult to sit on the floor.  Out of respect for the teacher and the other members, please try not to lie down in the meditation hall unless you have a medical condition that makes it difficult to sit comfortably. If lying down, please lie to the rear to minimize disturbance for the others.

Please feel free to sign up for our email list for news and announcements.
